Lovage, Levisticum officinale, is a tall perennial plant, the sole species in the genus Levisticum in the family Apiaceae, subfamily Apioideae. It has been long cultivated in Europe, the leaves being used as a herb, the roots as a vegetable, and the seeds as a spice, especially in southern European cuisine.
You can use the contents of this sachet for about 1 kg of mutton or lamb. Fuchs Recipe: You will need: a spice sachet for Sheep and Lamb, 1 kg of mutton or lamb, 30 ml of oil. Sprinkle the spice over the meat and allow it to penetrate for approx. Ten minutes. Roast the meat on both sides in hot oil and place in the oven for approx. 90 minutes. Add approx. 200 ml of water, from time to time to be kept steamed.
